Bangladesh Women’s Team has qualified for the ICC Women’s World T20 after defeating Zimbabwe Women’s team by 31 runs in the 1st semifinal of ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier.
Winning the toss Zimbabwe captain CS Mugeri decided to field first. Bangladesh women’s team scored 89 in their stipulated 20 overs losing 5 wickets. Middle order batsman Fargana Hoque topped the batting with her fluent 43 runs as Bangladesh was struggling when she came to the crease. In reply Zimbabwe women’s team were all out for 58 runs and none of the Zimbabwe women reached to the double figure except Mujaji who scored 10 runs in her 10 balls innings. Leg break bowler Rumana Ahmed claimed 4 Zimbabwe scalps as Fahima Khatun and Shaila Sharmin took 2 wickets each.
