Pakistan Super League 2016 Best XI | Who were the Best among all those Gems in PSL 2016?

First ever Pakistan Super League (PSL) has finished with lots of stats, endless success-failure story. It is really a tough and hard one to select a best XI among the players in PSL. Every players have tried their best but only some of them could manage to succeed. Considering all the matches in PSL 2016, a best XI has been made irrespective of their career performances.

Why These 11 players made the Cut?

1 Ahmed Shehzad: Despite of few poor innings, he was at best in his day. He had 290 runs at 143.56 strike rate.


2 Tamim Iqbal (os): The left arm opener played some good knocks with built up the innings. Tamim could manage 267 runs in 6 innings.

3 Sharjeel Khan: The left-arm batsman put at number 3 to set left hand- right hand combination at opener. Sharjeel took 299 runs with 148.75 strike rate. He is the only centurian in 1st PSL.

4 Umar Akmal: Explosive Akmal performed in their T20 tournament like his fabulous batting in international arena. He is the leading scorer with 335 runs at 152.27 strike rate.

5 Ravi Bopara (os): The English batting all-rounder is the most shinning player in the tournament. He scored 329 runs with 132.12 strike rate & took 11 wickets with 6.09 economy. He has been awarded as most valuable player.

6 Brad Haddin (os, wk): He has shown aggression in batting and the former aussie keeper is ahead to Sarfaraz due to vast experience. Haddin scored 188 runs at 47.0 average with 138.23 strike rate & did 8 dismissals.

7 Andre Russell (os): He is the lucky one in T20 format all over the world. The Caribbean all-rounder is the highest wicket taker of inaugural PSL with 16 wickets. He managed 84 runs also.

8 Shahid Afridi: Though he was not in good touch during batting but his captaincy with bowling has entered him in best XI. Afridi took 10 wickets with 6.59 economy & made 87 runs. His best bowling figure was 5/7.

9 Mohammad Nawaz: The young spin all rounder has proved a lot & sealed a spot in national side through the performance in PSL. Nawaz scored 120 runs beside his 13 wickets by giving away 6.56 runs per over.

10 Wahab Riaz: Riaz, who is one of the best bowlers at present time, took 15 wickets- the second most of the tournament.

11 Mohammad Sami: The senior pace bowler were phenomenal through the tournament & have got a late call for World T20. With an amazing 5/8 bowling figure, he out 12 batsmen with enviobale 5.69 economy.
